Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to all services provided by XGS Hosting, including shared, dedicated, custom, game-server, and bot hosting. It supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By using an XGS service, you agree to follow this AUP.
1. Permitted use
You may use XGS services for lawful purposes and for hosting activities supported by your plan. Lawful game servers, mods, and user-created game content are allowed. XGS does not require publisher approval for mods. Your use must still comply with applicable law and this AUP, including the rules against disruptive activity and putting XGS IP addresses at material risk of being blocked or blacklisted.
2. Prohibited activity
You may not use an XGS service to:
- Commit or facilitate illegal activity, fraud, phishing, or identity theft.
- Distribute malware, compromise systems, probe or scan networks without authorization, or attempt unauthorized access.
- Conduct or assist denial-of-service attacks, network flooding, or other disruptive activity.
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or operate a service that generates abusive or harmful network traffic.
- Exceed resource limits stated for your plan, or use resources in a way that materially disrupts XGS, its providers, or other customers. High resource use within your plan is not, by itself, a violation.
- Evade an XGS suspension or ban, or help another person evade one.
- Engage in activity that causes, or creates a material risk of causing, XGS IP addresses to be blocked or blacklisted by networks, game services, abuse databases, or upstream providers.
3. Reports and cooperation
Report suspected abuse or IP-blocking issues through XGS billing support. If XGS receives a credible abuse report or blacklist notice, you must reasonably cooperate with requests to investigate and address the issue.
4. Enforcement
XGS may investigate suspected violations and ask you to stop or correct the activity. Depending on the circumstances, XGS may warn you, restrict traffic or resources, suspend or terminate a service, or ban an account. We will provide warning when practical, but may act immediately when necessary to protect the network, prevent an IP block, limit harm, or comply with law.
Information retained in connection with an investigation or ban is handled under the retention terms in our Privacy Policy. This AUP does not guarantee that a blocked or blacklisted IP address will be restored.
5. Changes and contact
We may update this AUP. We will post the revised version on this page and give at least 30 days’ notice before material changes take effect. For questions or to report abuse, contact us through billing support.
